Assistant | Pour-Over Coffee Brewer | Personal Project
For the past couple of years, the 'home barista' has been trending. Aside from my personal love of home brewed coffee, this project was inspired by the artistic, cinematic, modern coffee culture. It takes the science of pour-over coffee brewing to become a functional and beautiful kitchen tool.

Catching the Trend.
YouTube channels, blogs, Instagram reels and just about any other social platform is filled with cinematic home-barista coffee content. Influencers are entertaining the idea of learning the art to newcomers, and elegant products are in high demand.
The Inspiration.
There are plenty of choices when deciding which coffee brewer to use. Each tool has a completely different brewing experience and delivers different flavor profiles. One of the most popular options with the most product variations is the pour-over carafe. I dug deep into the coffee science to find out how to get great tasting brews from these products.
The Direction
The Aesthetic Direction.
With a clear vision for the product, I created a mood board that captures a sense of elegance and connection to nature. Linear patterns quickly emerged as a central theme, shaping the final design and reflecting the aesthetic direction of the trend I was designing for.
