Establishing a consistent sleep cycle is key to improving sleep quality. Sense is a smart bedside diffuser, paired with a companion app, designed to help you unwind at night and wake up feeling refreshed and energized.
The Background
Market Landscape
The market for scent diffusers and atomizers is incredibly saturated. It’s filled with products that look alike - faux wood, foggy clear plastic and RGB lighting. Through further research, I discovered that the essential oils used for these products can positively affect a person’s wakefulness. I saw this as an opportunity to direct the purpose of the product to sleep aromatherapy.

Sense was designed to cultivate a calming, zen-like environment and support healthier sleep habits. While most aroma diffusers on the market feature soft forms and bright, organic colors, I set out to create a competitor with a contrasting aesthetic—minimal, refined, and distinctive. It fulfills its functional role while standing out in a saturated market.
